Attachements in PI

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement for which  an attachment need to be sent from non-SAP system to SAP system via PI.

Attachment can be WORD file,PDF or XL and the scenario is SOAP-IDOC.

Will it be possible to send the attachment?

If yes,how to do it.

Please suggest.

Hi Kalpana,

AFAIK standard IDOC communication doesn't support attachments, you would need to develop a SOAP to Proxy scenario.

Hi Inaki,

Thanks for your reply,instead of attachment,if they send us in a description format(say 100 lines)

can we send it to IDOC segment by writing a UDF in PI.

Dynamically reading the string of data and passing it to SAP using UDF..

Please suggest this is possible or not.
