What do you call SAP middle-ware at work - SAP XI - PI - PO - PRO - (cloud HCI)

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering, what do you, your colleagues and business users call SAP middle-ware. Is it SAP XI, PI, PO, PRO (on cloud HCI)? I prefer sticking with SAP PI, as SAP PO sounds like SAP Purchase Order (because Purchase Order is more common than Process Orchestration).

Brand management is difficult. Re-branding is far difficult.

Lot of us, still call SAP Basis (old name), not SAP Administrator. We call xerox, not photocopying.

I think, it will be difficult for SAP to make people call Process Orchestration as SAP PRO.

XI already ended it's maintenance last March 13, 2013. The only remaining names are PI and PO.

I just call it PI/PO instead of XI/PI.

Cheers,

One more time SAP do it, they recall his midleware tool from PO to PRO...

Read below link from Daniel he explain something about subject.

HCI and PRO are ot the same. PO or PRO looks like yes.

There are different products:

  1. PI AEX or DUAL (7.4 ready for Hana DDBB features)
  2. PO/PRO (PI  + BPM + BRM)
  3. HCI (Hana Cloud Integration solution)

As far as i know...

regards,

Roberto.

Be the change!

Start calling it SAP PO.

Your client must know, their middleware has been migrated to XI->PI->PO.

I feel the same, i like to call it as "PI" only instead of "PO".
