Bex Workbook Migration issue

Hi Gurus,

I have the requirement to migrate the 3.5 Workbooks into 7.3 system. And I am getting the same issue while migrating the two workbooks.

I have searched in SCN but not able to find the suitable answer.

Steps I have performed:-

1. Open the Workbook in 3.5 and saved as with new name.

2. Open the new Workbook in 7.3 and remove the 3.5 queries and attach the migrated queries and save it.

3. Opening the new migrated query throwing the error as in attached snapshot.

The issue I checked in VBA code as below:-

Sheets(sh_01).Select                             

ActiveSheet.PivotTables(pv_01).PivotCache.Refresh

(When I am removing the Select with Activate its working but I am not sure if sheet is inactive)

Can you also please let me know if any mandatory prerequisites need to do before migration and after if any setting after migration.

Hi Gurus,

Thanks for the reply, though I have some doubts like:-

Before migration is that necessary to delete the queries data in 3.x workbook.

How to check the Text and Navigational element related Registry settings, is that Basis can help?

Hi Harsh,

Can you please apply latest patch of SAP GUI for Windows 7.30  and

latest patch for BI 7.0 ADDON FOR SAP GUI 7.30 and check whether it helps you.

This should help in resolving the issue.
