Hi,
Is there any way to track the data usage of a single Explorer report on any kind of a mobile device (e.g. iPad) ?
Or any assumptions to say like 50.000 of records with 20 facet+measures will require approx. 5mb ?
Regards,
Erdem
Roughly, the size of the index file file will be the amount of data that is transferred from the server to your mobile client. If you have applied personalization, the data would be a subset of the actual index.
The index is available in (or in any other drive depending on your installation)
D:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\Data\Polestar\index\SBOP4.ExplorerIndexingServer\Published\ExplorationIndexes
On your iPad/iPhone, there is data usage statistics (provided by iOS - for cellular data usage). Go to Settings->Cellular->Scroll down to see the stats.
Note down the data usage of the SAP BI app before downloading the explorer infosapce and then note again after downloading. The difference between the two is actually the data transferred from server to the client.
You can optionally "reset the stats" to get a holistic data usage (including your Authentication).
