HI,
I am using Standard SAP Script to print my check, if i define a variable using the command line as below.
/: DEFINE &var1& = &var2&
the default length taken is 80 Characters only how do I make it to say 255 Characters.

Hi,
Define &Var1& lenght will be 80 it cannot be modified.
Now if you want to store 255 Characters.
Define 4 variables.
Call subroutine and pass this 4 variables.
data: xyz(255).
In sub-routine.
var1 = xyz+0(80).
var2 = xyz+80(80).
var3 = xyz+160(80).
var4 = xyz+240(15).
Bact to form Display var1 var2 var3 var4.
Ex: If &var2& NE SPACE. etc.,
I guess you can proceed from here.
Reward points to all useful answers.

Hi Yee,
Have you found the resolution for changing the length of variable defined using DEFINE statement in SAP Scripts..? I am facing the same issue. If you have fixed this, kindly reply back.
Thanks.
