SAP LT Replication Server installation

Hi experts

I am new to LT and  have a very basic question . As I understand SLT server pulls data from Source system like ECC and feeds to HANA database.

Wanted to know in which database is SLT server installed .The install guide says that we need to install netweaver and on that the addin files of SLT

Can you please clarify if the netweaver ( for SLT server ) has to be installed only in HANA database like BW on HANA or can the SLT be installed in oracle database also.

SAP LT Replication Server is technically an ABAP Add-on to the SAP NW ABAP-Stack. Therefore, several installation options are possible. Check the below image and you will have a better understanding.

You can install this Add on SAP ABAP  based source system ( with SAP Basis 7.0.2 or higher )

On a separate SAP NW ABAP Stack ( 7.0.2 or higher )

But SAP recommends to install with the second option ( having its own SLT server ). This would help to separate SLT workload with other process.

Especially when there are high data transfer rate between the systems.

so SLT server can be installed on a Netweaver running with  Oracle db also ?

Yes. It can be installed on Oracle db also.
