FTP(S) error for Receiver Channel

Hi all,

We have a scenario where we do FTP to a remote location and drop a file there. Since this is a basic configuration, we have done the config. However, whatever combination that we try, the partner is rejecting our FTP request. However, when we try the same with Filezilla, from our client machine, its working absolutely fine. We have had several working session with the partner, firewall team, network administrators etc, however, there is no clue on what is happening. Following are the details.

Maintained the following information in the Receiver FTP adapter.

Target Directory : "/"

File Name Scheme : XXX.pgp

FTP Connection Parameters

Server : www.XXXX.com

Port : 21

Data Connection : Passive

Timeout : 60 seconds

Connection Security : FTPS(FTP Using SSL/TLS) for Control Connection

Command Order : AUTH TLS, USER, PASS, PBSZ, PROT

User Name : XXXXX

Password : XXXXXXX

Connection mode : Per file transfer

Transfer mode : Binary

With this config we have the following error : "Delivery of the message to the application using connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error when getting an FTP connection from connection pool: com.sap.aii.af.lib.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException: Unable to create new pooled resource: FTPEx: Unexpected reply codePolicy requires SSL."

Later Partner has provided us a certificate later with "crt" extension, which is their SSL certificate. After installing this, we are getting another error as below.

"Delivery of the message to the application using connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error occurred while connecting to the FTP server "www.XXXX.com:21": iaik.security.ssl.SSLCertificateException: Peer certificate rejected by ChainVerifier"

We checked in the NWA and found another error, which just mentioned "FILE_ERR_211".

The SDN link http://scn.sap.com/thread/982246 explains the same issue. However we are unable to find the root cause of the issue.

Can anyone help

Many thanks in advance

Bobby Bal
