APO Batch job is failing due to some DB error

Issue:

There are some batch jobs in APO process chains  which are designed to run parallel are failing quite often due to some DBA Error. However, it runs successfully after repeating failed job.

For example: Attaching both error and successful log

Note : There is no lock between CVCs or APO data, both Variants use different set of combinations and data gets lock on aggregated level.

Also I have checked manually in system, it not locking the entries.

Since its a DB error i think the system is not even touching the combinations and failing before in DataBase itself. Can anyone suggest me on this issue ?

Thanks,

mayank

Hi Mayank,

Which program is being executed with these jobs? What are the variants for the same? Is there any macro behind this job which is being executed?

Could you provide more details on this job itself.

Rahul

Hi Rahul,

The same issue is appearing for Proportional factor calculation job too:

Program:  /SAPAPO/RMDP_SHARE_MANAGER

Transaction : /SAPAPO/MC8V.

For other job which i mentioned above i am using Macros to get execute.

Thanks,

Mayank

Hi Mayank,

Could you first try if you put them in sequence instead of parallel are they getting executed or not. If they still fail then we need to check. For proportional factor also is it one job or parallel jobs with different variants (with info cubes)? It seems there is some lock issue as you mentioned when you execute it later then it is getting processed.

Further check note 1139396.
