Fiori App Error

Hi All,

Befor Upgrading the UI version to 1.28.5, all the apps were working. Now I am getting the error "The request URL or the metadata definition is incorrect." in the gateway error log for all applications paystub, leave and timesheet.

In inspect element, I can see the error below:

I have not seen this error during the original configuration of the apps, could this be related to the UI version upgrade?

Hi Tejas/Grahame,

I have added all the above mentioned authorisations, to the test user but I am getting the same errors.

Hi Anand,

Kindly show snapshots of role assigned (SU01 screenshot) and quickly run to SU53 in gateway system and check if you have any auth objects missing.

Assign role : SAP_UI2_USER_700

Please confirm if activity mentioned in this page is completed : Assign Role with Launchpad Start Authorization to End Users - Configuration of SAP Fiori Infrastruct...

Try deleting PAGE_BUILDER_PERS service and re-add it.

After following all these steps, clear gateway cache and browser cache.

Follow this document to clear all UI specific cache.

Thanks.

I tried to delete the paystub service and add it, but now I can't find the service HCM_MY_PAYSTUBS_SRV in /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE (some other services are visible). The RFC destination was deleted and created recently.

I checked su53, there were no auth. issues. The test users have been assigned SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW.

I checked the other links as well to check if the config. is in place it is.

Kindly assign this role as well :

SAP_HR_BCR_EMPLOYEE_T

Also , make sure you have applied 'SAP_HCM_EMPLOYEE_APPS' role in backend.

For travel apps, which are the apps you are trying ?

Travel request

SAP_TRAVEL_TCR_T_X1

SAP_TRAVEL_BCR_EMPLOYEE_X1

If you have made any custom role, kindly check if you have added catalog pages and catalog group to the pfcg role.

Assign Role with Launchpad Start Authorization to End Users - Configuration of SAP Fiori Infrastruct...

1. Run transaction Role Maintenance (PFCG) to copy the role SAP_UI2_USER_700 to your customer namespace.
2. On the Menu tab, open the menu of the button for adding objects (+ button). Choose the object typeAuthorization Default.
3. Choose TADIR Service from the menu for the Authorization Default. Specify the following values:
   • Program ID: R3TR
   • Object Type: IWSG
4. In the table, enter the following services:
   • ZINTEROP_0001
   • ZPAGE_BUILDER_PERS_0001
5. On the Authorizations tab, choose Propose Profile Name next to the Profile Name field.
6. Choose Change Authorization Data and then Generate.
7. Assign the new role to your test user

Hi Tejas,

I have created ZSAP_UI2_USER_700, and followed all the steps and assigned it to the user.

In Maint_service, if I click on get service, I am not able to see any of the HCM_... services to add. I deleted the HCM_MY_PAYSTUBS_SRV to add again, now I cannot see the service when I click get service in /iwfnd/maint_service.

Local gw should be checked for LOCAL alias, and i dont see local alias configured.

Local alias should point to launchpad services

Ecqclnt500 should point to apps services

It is not an embedded deployment, we have 2 systems front end and backend server.

is there any other config. which is missing?

HI Anand,

Yes, you have to create 1 LOCAL alias, where Local Gw should be checked without any RFC destination.

For the current  system alias, you have to check Local app.

We have updated the UI version to 1.28.7.

Now I can see the warning

In inspect element I can see the error "Device API version differs: 1.28.1 <-> 1.28.7 - DEVICE".

I have not done any customisations yet, I am only trying to enable the standard apps, and they were working earlier?

Hi Tejas,

I am getting the above error and "Device API version differs: 1.28.1 <-> 1.28.5 - DEVICE" warning, I was hoping to find some reference in a SAP note to request the upgrade. If I cannot fins anything then I need to ask for the upgrade blindly hoping it would fix the issue. Thats my last option.

Anand,

Go to Launchpad designer and add a new tile in catalog. Give the relevant  imformation which you will get from tcode LPD_CUST with role UIHR001, Create the target mapping with same info.

At last add them in group and assign the role. You will get the application as required.

Where are you getting error regarding "Device API version differs" ?

Please perform upgrade step by step :

Before that please confirm that before UI upgrade, the applications were working fine and the issue persists only after upgrading the UI version.

Hi Tejas,

I have only enabled the standard apps, I have not made any customizations. They were working before the UI version upgrade.

In inspect element I can see the error "Device API version differs: 1.28.1 <-> 1.28.5 - DEVICE".

In service marketplace the highest version available for download is 1.28.6. Can you send me the download path for 1.28.7.

If your app tiles stopped working, configure tiles again using Launchpad designer.

The installation has been completed successfully by the BASIS team. I am wondering if this is problem with UI version 1.28.5, but I have not found any SAP notes regarding this yet.

Could you please check upgrading to 1.28.7 as per the latest stable release by SAP

• 2169991 - Patched version 1.28.7 of SAPUI5 Runtime and standard libraries

There are some fixes done. Hope it resolves.
