HCI - DS - Authorization issue

Former Member

Hi,

We have installed HCI agent on one of the server. Connection test to the system is working perfect.

We tried giving SAP ALL access to RFC id but still we get an authorization error while we try to import tables.

Kindly note agent is installed on server with FQDN <servername>.na.<clientname>.com

Source system FQDN: <logicalname>.admin.<clientname>.com

What should be the issue??

Thanks,

Purav

Hi Purav,

Is your SAP system open?

In order to be able to import tables, your SAP system must be an "open" system.

Hi,

What do we mean by Open system or from where do I need to check in system?

Thanks,

Hi Purav,

You can check in SCC4 if the client is open, if yes the setting should indicate "Changes to repository and cross client customizing allowed".

Usually you import the tables from a development system which is open.

Hope this helps,

i don't know, this is something Basis can do. all you have to do is provide your BODS server name to them.

Thanks

Hi Alecsandra,

Yes I do have the guide. And we have followed all steps mentioned for authorization in subsection of section5. Authorizations are given to the user, Infact we also tried using "SAP ALL" profile. Still no luck.

Apart from authorization part in section 5, do we need to follow anything else?

Thanks,
Purav

Did you also check 5.1 - BODS? These functions need to be available on your netweaver system.

Note 1919255 contains info on how to obtain them.

Hi,

So here is an update.

System is open.

Screenshot for RegInfo

Screenshot for SegInfo

We do have /BODS/* functions already available as per point 5.1

Still issue persist.

Not sure what is it we are missing.

Thanks,

Purav

I don`t know what the root cause might be. Please raise an incident (LOD-HCI-DS) and attach also the agent`s log.

Hi,

I have raised it. May be if you could ask someone to pickup the incident it will help.

One question,

will below mentioned scenario create an issue??

Agent is installed on server with FQDN <servername>.na.<clientname>.com

Source system FQDN: <logicalname>.admin.<clientname>.com

Hi,

FYI all,

few specific authorizations were missing. S_DEVELOP, S_TCODE was assigned but that it was not having access for SE38.

Best way to resolve such issue, is to turn on external debugger and try to import table, and then debug the program. You can easily find the exact authorization which was missing.

Thanks all for your support.

Thanks,
