Business Analytics Workshop

Purpose of Discussion:

1. Asking trainer questions

2. FAQ for workshop


Synopsis

Participants are introduced to cutting edge analytics solutions from SAP with a focus on hands-on exercises covering end user analytics. Three areas of analytics are presented – reporting (slicing and dicing), visualization, and prediction (data mining). Participants are also introduced to SAP Netweaver Business Warehouse. Big sets from the University of Arkansas will be used during the workshop for some exercises.

After completing the workshop faculty:

  • Will be exposed to business analytics with SAP technology
  • Will be able to apply analytics concepts using the latest tools from SAP
  • Will be able to adapt and adopt materials from the workshop in their own university courses
  • Will be prepared to impart practical skills to their students
  • Will be able to engage with the University Alliance Community for sharing curriculum and participating in online discussions with their peer.

Workshop materials will be posted in this discussion thread soon.

Participants will need to bring their own Windows laptops and install the analytics software before coming to the workshop. Instructions will be posted in the workshop materials.

Thanks Natin.

Unfortunately, I could not attend the workshop but I found the curriculm interesting and believe students will find it useful as well. Therefore, I  am going to adapt the curriculm at FedUni Australia.

In the software installation for analytics workshop.pdf, I am assuming you are on step 11 -f (SAP GUI 7.4). Please confirm that this is where you run into the error. Also let me know what version of Windows you have.
