SPL screening of Customers and vendors against separate Lists possible ?

Hello Gurus,

We are screening Logistic business partners - both customers and vendors against 40 SPL lists. Now business wants add 2 more lists to the 40 and screen the Customers against the 42 lists. Where as Vendors need to be screened against only 40 lists.

We are able to achieve the screening requirements for Batch screening with Variants. However, when the Vendors are changed or newly created, the change pointers sends the Vendors from ECC to GTS at that time the vendors are screened against all 42 lists.

Has someone come across such requirements ? Or whether it is possible with Exlpicit development to achieve this ?

Thanks.

Beejoy

Good morning Beejoy,

Out of the box you're a bit limited in how to go about this.  The most straight forward way I would think to handle your scenario would be to configure a new reason for release along the lines of "Vendor Partner; List type not applicable" and accept there will be the occasion false block during initial transfer only (obviosly that too would depend hugely on volumes of partners involved).  Then you can easily release any hits and have a clear audit trail on the why of it.  Like Vincent's question suggested, going beyond the minimum when it comes to compliance is never a bad thing.

As far as straight up config goes, your only other option really would be to create a second SPL legal reg with it's own unique partner groups for screening specifically against vendors, and limit it to the vendor appropriate lists.  But then you'd have to weigh the gaurenteed additional workload of maintaining content for two SPL legal regulations instead of one vs the potential savings of eliminating some possible vendor blocks at transfer for just two lists.  And it really would only be during initial transfer that you'd have blocks since you're eliminating those lists in batch.

If there is a potential user exit or badi or such which could help, that I'm not aware of.  I'm sure though if one exists someone else around here would know about it.

Thanks,

Graham

Hello Beejoy,

The question is why not both vendor and customer screened against all 42 lists?

You could decide whether to release or not later on.

Best regards,

Vincent
