user defined functions

Hi,

I am working currently on C4C - ERP integration using HCI and i have issue which could be nicely solved using user defined functions in the mapping. i have noticed that at least some integration packages delivered by SAP have such functions available in the functions' list and i am wondering how could create my own function that could be used this way (especially in a custom integration package)

I tried to find something in available documentation but i didn't succeed unfortunately so  i will be really grateful for help.
