we have a system SAP ERP 6.0 (non UC) EHP 0 (without) based on NW 7.0 running on ORACLE. We want to migrate to SAP SYBASE ASE 16 with an UNICODE migration - which is necessary. In the SAP Product Availability Matrix (PAM) there is an information you can run ERP 6.0 EHP 0 on SAP ASE with kernel 7.22.
The problem is - in the note 1554717 there is the info that you can run SAP ASE starting with ERP 6.0 EHP5! Which information is correct? Can i run ERP 6.0 with ASE 16 like in the PAM? How can i install it? The installation tools for ASE are missing for ERP 6.0 EHP 0. Otherwise i have to run an EHP implementation first.
To run SAP ASE 16 the minimum requirement is the ERP 6.0 EHP 5, as stated in the SAP Note 1554717 (which, btw, was written by the team working with SAP ASE integration into Business Suite environment).
