Grouping of deliveries and Shipment

Hi All,

If I have shipment created for multiple outbound deliveries, then is grouping of deliveries required?

I mean, these concepts are mutually exclusive, right?

Please advice.

HI PV,

First of all for your question this is not required or mandatory to make grouping of deliveries in Shipment.Because if you are having the same delivery date then only you can make the group of deliveries.

My question was grouping not inside shipment.

Lets say, I have 2 shipment A and B.

Shipment A has 2 deliveries 1 and 2.

Shipment B has 2 deliveries 3 and 4.

Lets say, shipment date of both are same.

Now grouping of deliveries 1 and 3 is not possible, correct?

Or does it make sense ?

HI PV,

Even though the date of the shipment is same the deliveries like 1 and 3 can not be mixed together bcoz they already assigned with different shipments.

Shipment  help you to optimize your route and Grouping of delivery helps you to optimize the picking inside the warehouse

when you have two different shipment then in my opinion you should perform the picking of Shipment A and Shipment B separately from operational perspective if you will club delivery 1 with 3 then your overall picking process will get impacted as again at door you have to do the sortation during loading
