Local software component version & IB

If I create a Local software component version object on my Dev system is this local to my Dev system or does it mean it is local to the ESB? In other words I want to create a test Service Interface and then link this to my Config scenario on the IB. I was hoping to define this as local SCV first and then test and iron out the bugs before creating a proper SCV, but it seems my Service Interface is not available then on the IB.

Hi Glen,

You will not be able to reference / use your objects from Local SWCV in Integration Directory (its local to your ESR only)

If you want to do end to end config / testing, you need to define your objects in SWCV and then configure it. If you have already created the objects in Local, you can simply copy it to another (non local) SWCV and re-use it.
