selecting block size

Dear Experts

In transaction CFC3 there are filter Block size and select block size how they are related to each other

Actually when i am ciffing  my PDS it is taking long time to transferred does by increasing filter size  it can improve performance or not .please suggest

Hi Virender,

The maintained block sizes are recommendations from SAP, but you can try larger values also to increase performance.

Check SAP note

436527 - CFC3 - Block Size Recommentations


Also check CFM3, whether Parallel processing in APO is marked. This should be done when you are executing your models in sequence but not in parallel for different objects.

HI Rahul

Small doubt regarding filter block size and select block size

Suppose For my object planned order  i have selected  Filter block size has 568  and selection block size has 1000 what does it mean

Hi Virender,,

For planned order it would mean example that 568 plant/material combination would be selected to make up one block. The second value defines the maximum number of data objects which in this case planned orders per qRFC call for the restricted 568 materials would be selected.

This is very clearly stated in the note itself. Have you gone through the same?
