Hello everybody.
I'm researching a little bit about integrating QC with Solman for testing purposes.
Does anyone knows where to start looking at?
I'll appreciate any kind of guidance for a new rookie.
Thanks in advance!
Hi Santiago
Please check below
how to guide
and finally the entire wiki Test Option 2
http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SM/SAP+Solution+Manager+WIKI+-+Test+Management
hope this helps
Thanks

Hi Santiago
always welcome....just to add it is not easy
add on has to be deployed on Solution Manager and simply another one on QC
further, If network connectivity between both system are ok then only webservies will work so please check the guide and make the relevant setting
All the Best
Thanks

We will see, seems there are a lot of things to do previous to the integration. The main objective now is to realize the feasibility of this integration instead of using the SAP Test Management. It's more like a discussion of PROs and CONs between HPQC+SOLMAN or SOLMAN+TEST MANAGEMENT.
Thanks again , we'll see the results of the research!
Regards
Santiago
Hi Santiago
Yes it is a good effort but you can use solman individually without integration and this is known as Test option 1 ...refer the wiki link for documents etc
also i have replied to another similar query here
http://scn.sap.com/thread/3317199
hope this helps your further
Cheers
Thanks
Prakhar
Hi Santiago,
You may start checking service.sap.com/testing. There are some presentations about the testing options, and the documentation is in the media library.
Best regards,
Daniel.
