PowerDesigner 16.5 License Server on Linux

Has anyone installed a PowerDesigner 16.5 License Server (Sysam Server) on a Linux machine?

Thanks, Phillip.  Do you know if there is a Linux installation doc?  All I've seen is the Windows install doc for PowerDesigner 16.5.

The installation process is very simple.

You need login as super user and run the setup file.

SYSAM package contains pdf talking about managing sysam on Linux\Unix.

You can go to SAP site to download the latest SYSAM.

Thanks so much, guys.  My take then is that SySAM is a standard license server for Sybase products and not just specific to PowerDesigner, correct?

You are correct. One SySAM server can host multiple licenses for different Sybase products. However you should refer to the individual product documentation for the supported license types.

Hi Anthony and Phillip.  I can't seem to find the Linux installation doc in the downloaded package, 51046816.zip,   "SySAM Standalone License Server Linux on x86_64 64bit".  There's no PDF in there.

Hi Jong,

Thanks for your help.  I have the doc, but all it says on page 30 under the topic INSTALLING THE SYSAM LICENSE SERVER is

"3. Use the license server installation instructions to install."

It is the "installation instructions" that I'm looking for.  I unzipped the downloaded files but see no installation instructions.
