For what? Client connection? RAC interconnect?
For the client connection it depends on your (used) SDU and array fetch size. However there are (rare) app cases where you may want to introduce it. In case of RAC interconnect it is totally different. It is recommended (due to 8 kB block transfer and its fragmentation) and you can clearly see the difference in high load environments.
