COPA data migration

Hi All,

Currently I m working on COPA migration.

It is in the middle of the year.

We need to migrate historical data from other legacy system to COPA.

We will be migrating the closing balances of expenses & revenue GL accounts & no GL line item data.

1. Can you please suggest all the possible ways this can be achieved.

2. Request you to please suggest the ways on how to validate migrated data to COPA.

Hello,

if the data that you specified has been posted to other CO objects, then you can allocate the data to COPA via KEU5(actual)/KEUB(plan).

Its not about allocation cycles. I am not sure how this will be helpful in this case.

Hello,

If you activated Costing Based COPA by using KE21N t.code will be possible to enter what is the revenue and expenses by entering relevant characteristics and values fields including Sales/Billed qty.

But I am not sure if using Account Based COPA.

Hi,

I am not sure if your requirement is clear enough. Please let me know what exact you mean by transfering the closing balances to COPA.

As far as legacy data are concerned they can be transfered via IDOCs and BAPIs. There are specific BAPIs for posting actual and plan data to COPA.

Just a small correction.

Please ignore my below statement.

The data needs to be migrated from other legacy system to COPA directly.

Expenses + revenue.
