Hello experts,
we want to use the funtction to calculate a condition in the shipment document and transfer it to F2 SD invoice.
1.) to charge calculated costs to the customer and
2.) to use some calculated values for COPA
One setting to copy the condition to SD is to set in copy control for the item category the price source to F (shipment cost).
In the first step we implemented only the price soure F for NORM, because we were not sure if it our environment in any way.
And we detected a massive impact on the performance of the billing process. The duration was about factor 6 longer. (end of job - 8am instead of 1 am --> problems with the following dependent processes)
Can anybody give me some advice to fix/ reduce the performance problem?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Marc
Marc, these questions are usually not SD nor really SCN material. There are tools available in SAP to point the exact source of a performance issue. Is there any reason you local ABAPers and Basis team cannot use those?
We can guess till cows go home here, but someone in your system can find an answer in 5 minutes.

Hello Marc,
Just a suggestion. Copy the Condition Record maintained for Shipment Document to Sales Order.
This can be done with maintaining Reference Condition Type & Reference Application - F (Shipment Costs) in Sales Order Condition.
This will ensure that while creating the Sales Order the Shipment Cost is copied from Shipment condition record and the same would be copied in Invoice and need to be copied from Shipment Cost Document which leads to performance issues in your case.
Thanks,
