BO4 - Implications of deleting an object from universe

Hi,

Using bo4 sp08 and we wish to remove some objects from universe which no longer required.

They are used in some reports.

What are the implications of removing them (this is a unx universe).

Will existing reports which use them still run e.g scheduled ones albeit with any forumals which use them invalid.

If you will remove objects in universe which are in use then you will get error message in the reports. reports will not refresh.

Either first remove from the reports those objects you want to delete from universe. Or instead or delete from the universe hide these objects in the universe.

Reports schedule will fail

When you will open the report you will get error "Some of the objects are no loner in Universe"

Thanks for reply - assume will still be able to open and run report fine.

once you will get the error msg you can click on that and re-point to Universe before any modification and after re-pointing it will work.

Else you will have to remigrate the report from diffrent Env.
