Capacity levelling on transport resource

Dear all,

we are working on process to use the transport resource to model vendor capacity. Setup all required data

- created transport resource of type T, maintained weekly quantity capacity

- assigned transport resource to transport lane of vendor to plant

- maintained the consumption details on each product specific transport lane

- ran the supply heuristic on plant,

- purchase requs generated from vendor to plant

- purchase requisition shows capacity consumed on capacity book

But issue here is

- capacity levelling  is not not working

we tried both optimizer and heuristic capacity levelling, none of method levels the capacity

any idea, suggestion where we have to check so that process run.

Check at transport resource if the option Finite Scheduling is chosen!

Thank you all,

I made it active  with Finite planning and it does level but partially.

Setup few week  with 0' EA of capacity and there are distribution plan  on that week.

When executed level for that week, no change is applied.

Any suggestions?

Hi Vijay,

• Check whether your resources are finite or not.
• Check your resource type as capacity leveling supports only;
  • Bucket resource
  • Single-mixed resource
  • Multimixed resource
  • Transportation resource
  • No other resource types are supported.
• I hope capacity leveling profile has right parameters (specially forward and backward direction) and run-time for capacity leveling.
