Hi there.
I have an old application in .NET framework 1.1, on a webserver windows 2003 and with Crystal Reports 10. This application is "closed" to developments and changes.
I am trying to migrate the app to a windows 2008 server (32 bit).
What version of Crystal Reports do I need to migrate the app on the same conditions (.net 1.1) to the webserver only and without code recompiling and changing?
Thanks
Paulo
None, only option is to upgrade to VS 2010, 2012 or 2013 and update the runtime to 2.0 framework.

Hi Paulo,
CR SDK is a separate download now so you can get it free here:
http://scn.sap.com/community/crystal-reports-for-visual-studio/
On the left is a link to download the latest and also look at the Licensing link. There are rules to how you distribute your application

I highly recommend you update to 4.0 Framework because Microsoft has ended 2.0 but still support 3.5 which is just an expanded 2.0 version. You can get more info here...

I am sorry but I don't understand.
Before I had only Crystal Reports 10 - Developer Edition, wich I had to install in the development and webserver environments.
Now I hear about SDK, runtime, etc.I feel a bit confused about all this.
According to the following table, CR 10.5 is compatible with windows 2008 and .Net 2.0.
It comes in Visual Studio 2008. Is this CR only for developing?
Will it work for me? Will I need any other software of Crystal Reports?

Thanks

The SDK used to be installed with either Visual Studio or the Developer version of Crystal Reports. That is no longer the case. The SDK is now a separate download.
You could potentially work with the version of CR that comes with VS 2008, but if VS 2008 has not already reached the end of support, it will soon. So I believe Don is suggesting that you move to the latest version of the SDK and Visual Studio so that you won't have to upgrade the code again when you have to move to a new server in the future.

For CR 10.5, you need to run the MSI for CR 10.5. See the following for links:
