Consider the scenario where the landscape has BW on Classic database (other than HANA) and we are using BWA for faster query performance. Now let us assume that the BW on Classic DB is migrated to BW on HANA, then we dont need BWA at all. We can just publish the cube as HANA view in BW on HANA system and perform additional modelling if required in SAP HANA (using Analytic views or Calculation views) and consume them in reporting tools.
Let us consider a scneario where the Sales report is completely implemented in BW system (on HANA). Now let us assume there is a data being replicated from another source into HANA system for some modelling requirement. Since the metadata (say, hierachy, attributes etc.,) are maintained in BW system, we can leverage them. So what one can do, is create a transient provider with InfoObject Mapping. For example, if there is column say city, we can map that to City IOBJ, so that it inherits the master data which already exists in BW system. Also there would be no need to create hierarchies and we can use the existing one.
