Alias not work for CRM_UI_Start

Hi Experts,

I want to shorten the link of the CRM UI http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ui_start/default.htm?sap-client=001&sap-sessioncmd=open. I found that alias name of the service can be used to access the same link.

So when I check the transaction for the service CRM_UI_START I can see two alias namely "/default_host/sap/crm_logon" & "/default_host/sap/uif_logon".

But when I logon with the link "http://<host>:<port>/sap/crm_logon" I face the error "Service Cannot be reached".

Kindly advise.

Hi Vivek,

"http://<host>:<port>/sap/crm_logon" 

Check the exact name which you've given under External Alias,as i doubt on it.

Yes I am able to login using the initial link "http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ui_start/default.htm?sap-client=001&sap-sessioncmd=open."

Also the alias "/default_host/sap/crm_logon" & "/default_host/sap/uif_logon" are set by default in SolMan.

Hi Vivek,

Are you able to get screen via default link

http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ui_start/default.htm?sap-client=001&sap-sessioncmd=open.

Please confirm,If yes than you need to recheck the steps which you followed to create alias for the crm_ui_start.
