App Delivery with OS Restrictions with Afaria7 SP5 on premise

Hi there

We have Afaria 7 SP5 running on premise. We've been looking for a possibility to deliver Apps to Devices for specific OS Versions (e.g. Android KitKat or higher, iOS 7 only, ...) is it possible to deliver an App in a Group only for users having specific OS-Versions?

You could create dynamic groups and custom views. In Afaria Admin console, create a dynamic group and when selecting a view, create a custom view building the query from the data field available. You can also specify a specific OS version number and this would be used as far as it is collected by the inventory process that runs on devices.

Hello Tobias,

Yes, as Mirco mentioned we can create a dynamic groups for the selected devices and customize the view with the data fields and criteria set to that data fields. Once the custom view is executed, we can push the application/configuration policies only to those selected devices.

Please see the below screenshot which shows you all the device types with the defined OS versions in the criteria. You can modify the OS versions in the criteria based on the requirement. This custom view pulls all the devices list(both Corporate/Personal) with OS versions and client name.
