once the price is determined can i go back and change pricing(pricing procedure) before billing
Yes you can change the price in the condition records after creating the sales orders. There is no need to update new price changes in the sales order. When your making the invoice these values will automatically changed because of pricing type which is maintained in the copy controls from delivery to billing or sales order to billing.
If you change the pricing in the condition records it will give effect each and every sales order which is not yet passed to billing. but it will effect in the invoice only. If you don't want to get change for the older sales order then you have to change the pricing type in copy controls.

Hi,
You can change the price based on the following scenario:
1. Maintain the new price in Vk11
2. When you are doing a billing, click on update documents at the item conditions, this will update the new price ( for this to happen the copy control settings should be referring to condition records). This will be successful.

Yes.
There are 2 ways to handle the same:
Option 1: In the Billing document in change mode (T.Code: VF02), in the main screen, select Line Item --> (on top most strip) Goto --> Item --> Item Condition & modify the price.
Option 2:
a. If the condition record is updated before creating billing document, it can be controled through copy control, by maintaining Princing type 'B' i.e carry out new pricing.
b. Incase, if Billing document is created, in change mode (T.Code: VF02), in the main screen, select Line Item --> (on top most strip) Goto --> Item --> Item Condition --> Update (Select option 'B' carry out new pricing --> enter)

once the pricing procedure is determined into sales order u cannot change it in either way.If u want to change the pricing procedure for already created sales documents u have to maintain procing procedure determination in customizing, u have to run a report to update those sales orders.

hi,
as u know pricing is based on the condition records, the system will pick up the price according the the condition technique.
why do u wanna change the pricing procedure? even if u change anyhow it ll effect only to the new orders created. any how if condition record has been changed, again it depends on the copy control rules to pick up the price in billing document.
the field which controls the above scenario is 'pricing type' ( a field in copy control)
cheers,
anil.

u can chnage the pricing procedure but it would be applicable for the previous sales orders generated. It will apply to only new order which u raise after that. And yes do maintain record after you change the procedure.
