TP CALL FAILED RFC=3

Hi Gurus,

We got STMS error below;

RFC error: Error when opening an RFC connection

However, when we check in SM59,

TMSADM@CONTROLLER and TMSADM@DOMAIN are all fine

Could you please advise?

Also let us know, tp RFC "CALLTP_WindowsNT" test ping results.

Hi,

Make sure below settings in RFC "CALLTP_WindowsNT"

- Activation type: Start on Application server selected

- Gateway option values are empty

- Make sure your application server hosts file have valid entries

Also clarify: What's your application/Central instance IP Address as I see 172.16.0.6 in RFC error.

Please clarify the above too.

Hello,

ERROR: hostname '172.16.0.6' unknown

Check your reverse DNS. SAP could not get the hostname for that IP address.

As a workaround, you can add an entry at the "hosts" file (c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc).
