What type of temporary table are you hoping to recover?

If someone has creation important data it must not be in temporary tables. By definition their contents is not recoverable.

As a governance guideline, you can only either forbid creating data directly for users or you provide them with a governed way to do so (e.g. application & UI). That way you can control where, when and what data gets created and how long it may be retained.

Dear Lars,

Sometime what happens in our project is that we need to create some temporary table on the user request from the main fact table ,as we don't have direct access to our FACT table in PROD.So we create temp table through read only user.I got your point what can you please elaborate what do you mean by application or UI.

Thanks And Regards,

What I meant was that if you have the requirement that users store some data and that this data should be kept (at least for some time), then this is something you need to provide to your users as a service or application functionality.

As long as you allow your users to create, alter, drop tables as they like, there is no way you can govern the data.
