Hello,
In way to perform a support packages update using the SUM tool in our SAP JAVA system we need to update first the SAP Kernel of this system (from 721 EXT patch 100 to 500/510).
I followed the SAP note 1713986 - Installation of kernel 721 (EXT).
I performed the update of igs helper (change the igs directory) and the Kernel files but unfortunately when I start the SAP system the jstart.exe doens´t start
I ran the following command (sapcontrol):
sapcontrol -nr 21 -function GetVersionInfo
25.05.2015 19:09:13
GetVersionInfo
OK

As you can see above the patch level is 510, the latest kernel files that I patched, so... I don´t know why the SAP system doesn´t start.
Can you help me please? How can I correct this issue?
Kind regards,
JD
Hi JD

Hello,
Problem solved! I already know what's happened!
I figured out that this JAVA system has your own users repository in a other system (ABAP) that is installed remotely in other server! That ABAP system was stopped by other person and because of that the JAVA system didn´t start because it needs the j2ee_admin user to start the Java instance.
So everything is working now and I now I can start the support package update.
Thank you,
JD
