Upgrade 4.1 sp1 to 4.1 sp5

Hi Friends,

In my server machine i want to upgrade 4.1 sp1 to 4.1 sp5.

directly i can upgrade sp5 or else i need to upgrade sp2,sp3,sp4 then sp5..........

plzzzzz help me on this issues...............

Hello Mohammed,

We can directly migrate the server SAP BO 4.1 SP1 to SAP BO 4.1 SP5.

I have alredy Migrated from SP1 to SP5.If you require I will share the Screenshots.

Hi,

You can upgrade to 4.1 SP5 from 4.1 SP1.

It was only in 3.1 version where you can migrate only 2 version ahead. Like if you are on 3.1 Sp1 you can migrate to Sp2 or Sp3 only.

However, this is not the case in 4.1. You can migrate to SP5.

Sorry for the delay,Create a biar file for CCM server and Total backup biar file before & After installing the patches.

Hi Mohammed,

The minimum patch required for upgrading to BI 4.1 Sp5 is BI 4.1 Sp2.

So you need to install first SP2 and then continue with SP5.

the information you have provided above is wrong and misleading. Please refer page 5 in the below document and edit/correct your reply accordingly.

In the document, the SP2 upgrade path was just an example and should not be taken as a prerequisite.

There's an upgrade section that needs your SAP number - sxxxxxxxxxxx - to access; as such, I won't post information here as you may not have rights to access it. If you have a BO licence, someone in your organisation will have access to it.
