Based on the S4/HANA roadmap, I understand that various modules of SAP are going to be simplified and introduced in the new Suite by sequence.
Do the PPM gurus and folks close to SAP have insights on what SAP has plans for PPM/PLM?
Also, what does it mean for Functional Consultants who are currently skilled in PPM/PLM. Do they have to learn something new? Does project implementation change completely now?
Hi,
S4/HANA has3 main aspects: Simplified Data Model, Completely on Fiori, and Guided Configuration.
Being it completely on SAP Fiori, it will be more into Role Based Approach of Solution design (like roles in an organization).
And Guided Configuration can simplify the tasks with respect to IMG.
These 2 can be the areas of impact for a Business and Functional consultant.
I hear that SAP is coming with Simple Logistics, probably called S-Ops by October. Not sure about plans for PPM, except that PPM 6 is already on HANA.
rgds,
Manjunadh.
