RFC Connection

Hi Tek's

I was trying to do some sample RFC babpi base example but again was not sucessfull with r/3 configuration "connection setup"

Error desc

Connection to SAP gateway failed

Note: i try to connect to R/3 using SAPlogon gui and its working but when i try to configure from Adaptive RFC model for webdynpro example its erroring out.

R/3 is not on local host.

hope,can any body guide me ?

YOu have to add a parameter in your service file

ie.

sapms<SID> 36<CI no>/tcp

HI,

In case you are working on WIndows: go to the folder

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\

you'll find the service file here. Just add an entry

sapms<SID> 36<CIno>/tcp

eg:

If your SID name is QCO and the CI no is 00 i.e. DVEBMG00 then the entry would be

sapmsQCO 3600/tcp

Hi,

The message server what you have configured is not proper in SLD that is reason why you are getting this error.

Please check the following when creating the System in SLD:

Got to transaction ST11 open dev_ms file here you will get the message server port and message server host use these details when creating the system. The message server port will be with a prefix I listen to .

Please do revert back incase of any issues.

User can perform a RFC connection must be assigned the authorization object" S_RFC". login SAPGUI and have a check.

BTW,"SAP_ALL" is not all in all.

Rewords points if you have work out.
