Hi Experts !

I updated my eclipse  the last version 8.0.8:

Then, I updated the IDMDEVSTUDIO 8.0.9:

Now when i'm trying to connect on the SAP IDM Developper studio, I get this error :

I didn't see any notes on this issue, something quite similar on the sapnote 2171045  (Error 404)

Do you have any idea ?

Best regards

Stéphane K.

Hi Stéphane,

I had the same problem when upgrading to version 8.0.9.

The solution seems to be to add the UME Administartors group to the Developer Studio user.

(This was not needed in earlier versions.)

Hello Ole,

That's the solution to open the Developper, thank's a lot.

I posted a message on the SMP too, I'll post their reply in the blog too.

Thanks again and regards

Hi Ole,

apparently there's an action existing for this, in case you don't want to grant admin rights on your ume :

Assigning idm_authenticated_studio UME action - SAP Identity Management Installation and Update Guid...

I know this thread has been answered, but thought the following might still prove useful for some people.

I have found that I also get this error when trying to connect via a Web Dispatcher.  Workaround at this stage has been to add a rule to the dispatcher to allow traffic from idmdevstudio direct to the app server.

Hi Stephany

I have resolved this issue in a less radical way.

Instead of adding the user to Administrators group I just granted him in UME the security action with name "*" (what a strange name) which belongs to application "idmdevstudio". It also solved the 403 error.

Hi Stephane,

Seems the user is not authorized.

Have you checked Todor Boyadzhiev's recent blog:

It has useful hints to check.

Best wishes,
