I am using BO4.0. What are the port requirements for Information Design Tool client applications?

Are you looking specific connectivity with IDT only? Or you are going to use all BO client applications?
One option to open the range 6400-6499.
For specific IDT you have to open below server ports which you have assigned in the CMC.
Central Management Server(CMS)
Input File Repository Server(IFRS)
Adaptive Processing Server(APS)
The above ports are opened in the Firewall for bi-directional communication between the client and BI servers.
