SAP MII Migration/Upgrade from version12.0/NW 7.1 to 15.0/NW 7.3

Dear SAP MII Consultants,

I have read in some of the SAP MII upgrade document about migration and upgradation.Its not giving clear cut information about migration/upgradation from 12.0 to 15.0.

Our problem statement is -

Source : SAP MII 12.0 NW 7.1

Target : SAP MII 15.0 NW 7.3

How this will happen?

Is direct jump from 12.0 to 15.0 possible or will it be a hop from 12.0 to 12.1 then finally to 15.0?

Please comment and share some personal experiences.

Hi Muddassar,

SAP has provided brilliant migration tools using which you can migrate from any lower version to higher version. I did it for 11.5 to 14.0. 11.5 was the most varied version as compared to 12.0, and I was able to do it easily with knowledge of some prerequisites and pre migration checks.

So you can directly migrate from 12.0 to 15.0. Make sure, you have a 7.31+ NW system that hosts 15.0.

Hi Muddassar,

It is possible to migrate directly MII 12.0 to 15.0 .

Work around -->In Existing NW 7.1 Server can be upgraded to NW 7.3. Once that is done you needs to deploy the MII 15.0 has 4 dependencies SCAs on the upgraded NW server using SUM tool or JSPM (Not sure with JSPM option)
