Former Member

We are currently facing issue logging into IDM Dev Studio client. Any suggestions? Thank you

  • The user MXMC_ADMIN is created in UME is not locked either in database or UME
  • The SSL connection is configured between client and server
  • Two users get different errors while logging to IDM studio (MXMC_ADMIN and mxmc_admin)

Connection details:

Java used by client:

SSL configuration on server:

The SSL certficates import to client:

C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\security>"c:\program files\java\jre6\bin\keytool"

-import -alias my_ssl_cert -file ssl-credentials-cert1.crt -keystore cacerts

Enter keystore password:

Certificate already exists in keystore under alias <my_ssl_certificate>

Do you still want to add it? [no]:  yes

Certificate was added to keystore

Hi Brendan,

I would not login as any of the MXMC accounts if I were you.  Please create another account, give it the appropriate permissions and try to login with that. That would be my first step at troubleshooting.

, is this allowed?

Thanks Brenden for raising the message.

Hi Matt,

We created additional user 'levyas' and granted dba access to it and created in UME too but still we get same error : user not found in IDM database

.

Make sure the user is created in IDM as well as 'levyas' I don't have access to my IDM8 VM to show you where it is.  Sorry.

Hi,

Matt is as always helpful.

I'd add that it is part of the security concept the developer users to be created in Eclipse by the administrator user and then the developer users are not part of the managed identities. Thus no elevation of privileges is possible.

Best wishes,

Fedya
