What happens when you start the "Check DB" job from Tx DB13? Are you able to see the logs there?

Now the things which i would like to check here are

1.alert_<SID>.log file

2.SAP_BASIS patch level

3.brtools version

4.Available space on the system

5.Authorizations on br* files under /sapmnt/<SID>/exe

Have a look with SAP Notes  113747 - Owners and authorizations for BR*Tools

Thanks,

You could also refer SAP doc at http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/205f9f2f-0d01-0010-4c80-e7cac4469...

& if possible try to execute DB check through brtools & share the results .

Hi Arundhati,

Have you check the location for initSID.sap file at /oracle/SID/112_64/dbs/initSID.sap.

Check the below things:

- Check if the file exist in directory /oracle/SID/112_64/dbs/

- If exist, then check the permission on the file

- Also check the Environment variable for ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID at OS level.

If you dont have the access on OS level , then ask your unix team to check the above things.

So now you know the reason why the logs are not getting created. You should fix the issue with the .sap profile file to fix the issue with logs.

Hi Arundhati,

Can you check the sapcheck directory if it shows the logs with current timestamps.

And if any errors mentioned in the logs.

Ram

On DB16 screen what happens when you click on start check ? Just click on Start check & share the check logs from the system. After execution of Start check & on completion of this you'll be able to get the things under DB16 .

You could perform same from brtools also.
