Hi everybody,
we have a problem with the role permissions in SAP Solution Manager. Some colleagues want to use the workcenter Change Management for System Recommendations and System Monitoring for Earlywatch. We assigned the roles SAP_SMWORK_BASIC_CHANGE_MAN, SAP_SMWORK_BASIC_SYSMON, SAP_SMWORK_CHANGE_MAN, SAP_SMWORK_MYHOME, SAP_SMWORK_SYS_MON as so far they have access to open the workcenter and the relevant categories. See screenshots solman01-06. But in both categories they could not see any System. What specific permissions are missing? Please let me now.
With Kind regards
Sascha Merckell
From the security guide we used the role SAP_SYSTEM_RECOMMEND_COMP, which contains the roles:
From all described roles in this post, we just worked with a copy not the original one.
In role SAP_SMWORK_BASIC_CHANGE_MAN, we disabled some work center views, for example:
In role SAP_SM_SOLUTION_ALL we changed the visibility for solutions (BW or ERP systems)
For system monitoring the role SAP_SMWORK_BASIC_SYSMON is needed, in here we disabled a few work center views, like in SAP_SMWORK_BASIC_CHANGE_MAN. For system monitoring, role SAP_SMWORK_SYS_MON is mandatory.
Role SAP_OP_DSWP_EWA is needed for the EarlyWatch Alert and in here the authorization object D_SOL_VSBL to decide which systems should be shown. BW or ERP systems.
To be able to use the system recommendations report we added the role SAP_BI_E2E, see SAP note 2019992

Dear all,
thanks for your help.
@Rishav Garg, thanks but that's not the point, everything is fine in SMSY/LMDB
@Ruth Reilly I'll have a look, thanks.
@Michael Blickenstorfer, we tried to give permissions as suggested, please see screenshot.
the result is
In System-Monitoring --> EarlyWatch there is no system displayed. Do you have any other advices?
Thanks and regards
Sascha

Hi
Just check if your solutions are active and working fine in SMSY/LMDB.
It does not looks like authorization issue, only the systems which are there in solution will appear here.
Thanks
Rishav
