how to clear SAP field value after saving a transaction

HI,

when we use MM02 and enter material number and go to change and once we save SAP Initial screen is displayed with material entered in the screen. I have a requirement to clear that field when we come back. I tried with setting paramet MAT space but it doesn't work. any ideas how i can achive this.

jus tyou the the issue is this field is polipated with barcode scanner and when it comes back they wanted clear field to scan new materia number.

any ideas?

The material number is coming back causes of SAP internal memory. See this discussion

You can set insert on, so that SAP can replace the old code to new code (which is coming from the bar-code scanner)
