Hi everybody,

I have a question:

Is it necessary, that the SIDADM and the SAPServiceSID are members of the local administrators group?

Hi Simon,

Yes as the process try to extract, overwrite kernel, Create/update services, update system32 DLL, etc. And for this purpose it needs a administrator acess. so once you add user in local admins you dont have to worry much about permission issues.

You need S user id to access this http://service.sap.com/instguides

Exaple :- windows + Oracle guide

And select Windows installation under which you can get the details regarding User management.

For SUM you go to upgrade options and select the relevant documents.
