Hi Aayush,

If you are in PI dual stack, you should go to smicm transaction, increase the trace level and check there the logs.

Check this Monitoring the Status of the ICM - Administration of the Internet Communication Manager - SAP Librar...

Hi Aayush,

In ICM monitoring you can't check a particular channel, when you open the monitoring all the http communication with the Integration Engine is traced. You should send your test or talk with the partner that goes to send a request and open the monitoring in that time, if not it will be very difficult to identify the call.

However, if you use http_aae adapter you can monitor a particular channel in Runtime Workbench-> communication channel monitoring.

So, can you please suggest me any other way to check the traces of a particular communication channel using http adapter, in integration engine or adapter engine (java log) ??

Actually, i wanted to check for messages arrived in PI using this communication channel 18 days back.

Aayush

Hi Aayush,

It depends about your PI version. What is your PI version?, have you configured the http_aae (java stack) or the http channel (ABAP stack)?.

Although the monitoring on the http can be a bit tedious, you can check it in the sxi_monitor (dual PI system) or RWB->Message monitoring (dual and single PI stack system) the processing inside the PI.

My below suggestions dealed the cases that you want to know what happens when the message just arrives or it is sent before/after PI processing.

Hi Inaki,

Yes, I am well aware of sxi_monitor and RWB but these are not useful in case, the PI version i am on is 7.1.

Hi Aayush,

Why are they not useful?, you can increase increase the trace level to get more information from the sxi_monitor in IE, the only reason that i can think they are not useful is because sometimes the http requests are not coming to PI, is this the real issue?

Hi Inaki,

They are not useful because:

1. HTTP is only on the Integration Engine level, and

2. In SXI_MONITOR we don't have the exact time or the msd id.

Correct me if i am wrong (in the first point).
