Screen Personas 3.0 Questions on Themes / Roles

We have started using Personas 3.0.

We have couple of questions on theme assignment logic:

1) This one may not be a Personas questions but I would like to raise it here, just in case if I can have an answer here: When I call a transaction, how could I know which role has been used. The same user might have multiple roles assigned to them and the very same transaction might exist in multiple roles. How do we know that when the transaction is called, which role has been used? Is there a way to monitor the role?

2) Is there a simple way to default a theme for ALL of the transactions & roles?

3) How does the ranking in themes work?

To answer question 1, that's not how roles work. When you login, all of the authorisations from all of your assigned roles are merged into a single collection called the "User Buffer". You can see the contents of your user buffer in transaction SU56.

After that, all authorization checks are made against that buffer. There's no way to tie a specific check back to a role.

I'm not aware of a way to assign a theme to all roles and transactions.
