Hi,
Sometimes in T-code VA01 we use Create with reference in order to save time. With that many fields are automatically furfilled.
How can we control the fields that are copied?
I need to remove one field from the ones that are copied.
Thank you and best regards

Hi
Creating a document with reference to another document will be controlled by configuration of copy controls. Since you are creating an order with reference to another order, please goto transaction VTAA and select the source and target document types and click on blue lens. In the next screen you can see the data transfer routines which controls the transfer of data between these source and target documents. You can check the data transfer routines at item level also.
Regards,
Ravi

XBLNR is the reference document number.
Business use to keep reports for the document flow. Which document create from which preceding document.
Business is not coping document number from the preceding document. But this is the field (XBLNR) which mention our document created from the which sales document.
So, your given requirement can't control from copy control. You need to look for some other concept. But before that I want to know why you do not want to see or show this filed to the user?
SAP have all easy solution when requirement is according to the running business scenarios.
Explain your business properly here, many guys have solution for your problem.
Thanks.
Hi,
Thank you for your answers.
My business scenario is the following:
In some documents i need to have an unique XBLNR. The user have instructions to that but sometimes there are mistakes when use "copy with reference". I need to assure that when users use this functionality the xblnr becomes blank when we copy the document.
Thank you and best regards
