SD:Transportation Zone

Hi Guru's

I am busy with a Master Data taken on for a company that has SAP already they are now take there other beverage Division onto SAP but unfortunately I need seperate Transportation Zones for the One Customer has an expereinced this or has encountered such a scenario.

Any info on this topic will be greatly appreciated.

Transportation zone to or from which the goods are delivered

Sales and distribution:

Regional zone of Goods recipient.

Purchasing:

Regional zone of supplier.

Use

You can define regional zones to suit the requirements of your own business and country.

Sales and distribution

the system automatically proposes a suitable route by using the transportation zone of the goods recipient in combination with other information about the delivery, such as the

Countries of origin and destination

Shipping conditions

Transportation group

Example

In the USA, for example, you can define regional zones to correspond to the US postal zip codes.

Transportation Zone plays a vitol role in Route Determenation. It is defined in and assinged to Country in SPRO --> S&D -->Basic Funtions -->Routes --> Route Determination --> 1.Define Transportation Zone and 2.Maintain Country and Transportation Zone for Shipping Point.

Hi,

If you want to define the transportation zone in customer master then the area is

IMG->sales and distribution->Basic function->Routes->Route determination->Define transportation zone.-->maintain your entries according to your country.

So while creation of customer master you will get this transportation zone or you can select yours manully.

I need to determine the transaportation zone seperately from the Sales Area data view but the transaportation zones defaults from the General Area Data of the Customer Master.

Please advise if there is a way to maintain the Transportation Zone seperately by division for the customer master.

Hi,

transportation zone is used to determine routes. Define a tranportation zone and then use that for route determination.
