Cost component structure issue

Dear All,

I have to create 2 cost component structure and they are:

1RAW MATERIAL - LOCAL400090406678
2RAW MATERIAL - IMPORT400100400151

Now issue is the cost elements are overlapping. When I try to use cost element group instead of cost element system is showing message that "The values entered cannot be accepted."

Please suggest how can this be rectified.....

Regards

Nitisha

Hi Nitisha

You are assigning CE Gr which is overlapping in between 2 attributes..

See the Import range 400100 to 400151  which is within Local range 400090 to 406678

system will not allow because how would system distribute cost of same CE in 2 attributes..

So..break the local CE Gr into 3/4 part keeping Import related CE 400100 to 400151 outside that Grps

and assign all local grs to Local RM attibutes ...it will work

Hi Kamal,

Does system accepts cost element groups instead of cost elements in OKTZ??

Hi

I mean you enter the range like group..

Example

for for local mat

      CE from 400090   To  400099

                   400152  To   406678    ( no range from 400100 to 400151)

For import mat  from 400100  to 400151

    Your issue will be solved

Hi,

System should not accept the same cost element in multiple cost components.

Better to avoid the range option while creating the the cost components.

Still you need the expected requirement, better to go for Auxiliary cost component structure.

Auxiliary cost component structure provides the break up of main cost component structure.

Hi Pavan,

What is the different between main cost component and auxiliary cost component(in context of working). In OKTZ option for Prim. cost component split is available. Where we can find the settings for aux and main??
