Configuration to avoid Physical inventory for a storage type ?

Hi ,

Is there a configuration to avoid a particular storage type from Physical inventory ? I did try in OMNK by selection NO Inventory for a storage type but still i can execute PI process . I have a requirement where have to completely avoid PI for a storage type . Kindly suggest .

Hi,

You cannot restrict creating the Physical Inventory documents for Storage Type. I tried to recreate the same scenario in my system and I could still post the inventory documents though we have NO inventory against any Storage type.

Hi,

I think you can still create the PI documents however you will not be able to proceed further for a particular the document if you do not maintain the default values for PI in the customization for the respective storage type.

For the creation of the document, may be you can control through authorization check at storage type level with the object L_LGNUM.
