KPI modeler

Former Member

We have a SAP HANA(1.00.094.00.1427101515) and an ERP on it. We although installed FIORI Smart Business. Our Basis did configure SAP HANA, SAP WebDispatcher, SAP Frontend Server / SAP Backend  Server (same server) and FIORI Launchpad.

But when we launch fiori via launchpad, we see that the KPI Modeler doesn't start up. We see only blank KPI Tiles (see picture belo)

Further, we did debug and figure out that that our GET is failing with 404 error...

the respective URL is as below:

http://xxxxxxx.xxxxxx.xxx.xxx.com:50003/sap/hba/r/sb/core/odata/modeler/SMART_BUSINESS.xsodata;o=HAN...

we went ahead and checked our services in backend, fixed couple of OSS notes but still the issue continues...

Can any one help here?

Setting up the SAP Smart Business Modeler Apps Framework - User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver -...

  • Note The following catalogs, groups, and roles are relevant:
    • Catalog  /UI2/SAP_KPIFRW5_TC_S for SAP Smart Business runtime
    • Catalog  /UI2/SAP_KPIFRW5_TC_R for SAP Smart Business runtime. All KPIs that were modeled and activated using the KPI modeler are automatically added to a predefined KPI catalog. You cannot change the catalog by using the SAP Fiori Launchpad Designer
    • Catalogs  /UI2/SAP_KPIMOD_TC_S and  /UI2/SAP_KPIMOD_TC_R for KPI modeling
    • Group  /UI2/SAP_KPIMOD_TCG_S contains the SAP Smart Business modeler apps
    • Role  /UI2/SAP_KPIFRW5_TCR_S for SAP Smart Business runtime
    • Role  /UI2/SAP_KPIMOD_TCR_S for KPI modeling

Have you done :

SAP Smart Business Modeler Apps

Roles

You must be assigned the following roles to use SAP Smart Business applications:

SAP HANA RolesSAP ABAP Roles
sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_MODELER/UI2/SAP_KPIMOD_TCR_S
sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME/UI2/SAP_KPIFRW5_TCR_S

Hi Raquel,

I face an error after inspect element "Remote catalog did not deliver CHIP 'SAP_SB_MODELER_ASSOCIATION'" as shown below.

Do you guys face this similar issues?

Regards,

Yen, we have this issue right now and we are exploring with SAP.

What I found is that calculation views which gives these tiles are empty. Also catalogs are faulty.

Let me know if you get to solve this before.

In my case, the faulty system is missing below entries.

Your system also might be missing this.

Go here

host:port/sap/hana/xs/lm/

-> Transport -> Logs

Most probably you might have errors there for HCO_HBA_R_SB_CORE (sap.com).

Yes, I have this error for 'HCO_HBA_ECC (sap.com)' when checking the log. What does this error mean and what can this page perform any error analysis?

Hi Krishna,

After following your guide on installing the missing package 'HCO_HBA_R_SB_CORE', all the entries you stated above is now showing in CHIPS_MODELER_APPS. However, now I have a different error message when i inspect element. (Error 403 forbidden)

Hello all,

if you get error 404 for /sap/hba/* requests, it is solved by configuring routing in WebDispatcher like below and starting launchpad with your WebDispatcher server+port:

wdisp/system_0 = SID=EJQ, MSHOST=yoursap.domain.com, MSPORT=8101, SRCURL=/sap/bc;/sap/ui2;/sap/ushell;/sap/public;/sap/opu

wdisp/system_2= SID=EXT, XSSRV=http://yourhana.domain.com:8000, SRCURL=/sap/hba;/sap/hana

if you get 403 (forbidden) you must assign roles like sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS*.

Hi All,

Is this problem resolved?  If so, please let me also know how it was resolved as I am facing the same problem.

I have assigned the HANA roles as well.  But no use.

sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_MODELER

sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME

Hi Ganga,

Please check your web dispatcher settings, it should point to your HANA DB with HANA instance ID.

Hi Gagan,

Have you configured SAP Web Dispatcher to route requests to the HANA?

Hi Masa,

I still encounter the same error although have configure SAP Web Dispatcher. Do you have any idea? When I inspect element from Chrome, I get error 404.

Yen,

This is most probably due to missing HANA authorizations. Ensure that you have below in HANA.

sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_MODELER

sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME

sap.hba.tools.auth.roles::AnalyticsAuthorizationDeveloper

AnalyticsAuthorizationAdministrator

Hi Krishna,

I can not find the below roles in HANA Studio as shown in image:

sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_MODELER

sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME
